Have you ever been curious how to stop your repetitive negative, self harming, thoughts that limit you living your best life?
Me too! But here's what I learnt from neuroscience. There is this phenomena named intentional attention. It means that you make an intention to pay attention to something. It works a bit like when you intend to buy a new car and you find yourself seeing the car you want everywhere. What can you do with this little mind shift? You can use it to choose where to place your attention, preferably things that matter to you like reaching your goals, instead of running the same programs in your head. If you should find yourself doing circuits in your mind, say, 'stop' then switch the thought and sustain that new pattern of, 'Stop Switch Sustain'. Take control of your brain and reap the rewards.
