What is Self-Hypnosis?
Self-hypnosis is a suggestible state wherein the
individual can direct suggestions to themselves.
It is a tool where people can learn to achieve
some of the goals of seeing a hypnotherapist. It
is useful for palliative care, to reduce or alleviate
pain or stress, to help overcome bad habits or
create good habits. Like any skill, you can learn it
over time with repetition.
Can everyone be hypnotized?
Yes, but the timeframe it takes for individuals to learn differs. People need to be conditioned for hypnosis – some respond to the first attempt, for others it can be longer.
